Right Side Installation Instructions

Tool required: Phillips screw driver

1. Set The Slider assembly in position in the cabinet. The guides should support the shelf so it will not quite touch the right hand cabinet frame or door when it extends. It is best if the guide fits tight on the right side of the cabinet to avoid a dirt-collecting gap. It may be necessary to position the guide track at a slight angle to ensure the shelf does not hit the face frame. In a narrow cabinet, you may wish to switch the narrower guide to the right side if it still provides adequate clearance to prevent the shelf from hitting the cabinet frame or door. Secure the right guides with (2) long washer-head screws.

2. To position the left guide in such a way the cabinet door will be able to close and the shelf is free to slide smoothly, the (2) cardboard spacers from the hardware kit are used. With the shelf removed, fold the spacers into a "U" shape and position in the wider groove of the left guide, near the screw holes. Line up the rear end of the left guide with the back edge of the shelf and push the left guide firmly onto the shelf, where the spacers should provide a snug fit. Replace the guide/shelf assembly in position in the cabinet with the front of the left guide as far forward as possible but still permitting the door to close without hitting the end of the guide. Secure the left guides with (2) long washer-head screws.

3. Slide out the shelf, remove the spacers, and try The Slider for firm support but free movement. If there is a problem, readjust and try again or refer to the installation TIPS.   We also have a toll free help line at (800) 803-1284

4. To locate the
door bracket, (A SIMPLE ILLUSTRATION IS SHOWN ON THE INSTRUCTION SHEET WITH THE SLIDER) open the door 90 degrees (straight out) and remove The Slider. Make a vertical line on the door 7 inches from the face of the cabinet. Locate the vertical position of the bracket by marking the bottom of the cabinet on the door with a horizontal line. This can be done by measuring or, with the cabinet door closed, reach through from the other door to draw a horizontal line along the bottom surface of the cabinet. The right hand hole for the bracket should be started 1/4" above this (+) mark. Use the short black screw as a drill to start this hole by tapping and then turning it in three or four revolutions. Slide the shelf into position, install the bracket with one small chrome plated screw, and see how The Slider works. If there is a problem, adjust the portion of this screw to make thing work smoothly. When you are satisfied, remove the screw attaching the linkage bar to the door bracket and lift off the linkage so you can drill for and install the left-hand screw for the bracket. Reattach the linkage bar and install screw that holds it to the bracket.
